Automotive

In the automotive business, managers, sales staff and service advisers handle a lot of information: customers, vehicle files, spare parts, service prices and stock. The faster they find it, the better and quicker the service. With BORA Business Suite sales and service are managed centrally and in real time.

Automotive

BORA Business Suite has an ERP solution made for selling, maintaining and servicing motor vehicles. All units of the company work in one system, resources are used better, and customers come back.

Where the solution is used

The BORA Solutions solution has been implemented and works well at:

  • importers and official dealers of new and used cars;
  • importers, distributors and wholesalers and retailers of spare parts;
  • importers and dealers of heavy-duty, agricultural and construction machinery, equipment and consumables;
  • independent and authorised service centres and car service complexes;
  • large chains of car repair shops and car parts stores.

What the ERP solution for the automotive sector covers

For every client we prepare a separate implementation project based on the workstations and the needs of the business. BORA Business Suite automates these areas:

Car service

  • Reception, mechanics, parts sales, the warehouse and finance work in one environment, together with accounting.
  • Every vehicle has an electronic record with the history of repairs, visits, parts used and operations.
  • Service orders are planned and assigned, the mechanics’ labour is tracked, and the cost of the repair is calculated automatically from the operations and parts.
  • Work with insurers is done in the system: filing claims, estimates, approvals and agreeing payments.

Warehouse and sales

  • Remote service centres, shops, the central warehouse and the office share one database with the same products, price lists and promotions.
  • Stock of car parts is always up to date, and the warehouse can work in different modes.
  • Parts and consumables are received, found and moved with barcode readers and mobile terminals.
  • Deliveries from abroad and from local partners are planned from stock by location and from open service orders.

CRM, marketing and analytics

  • Loyalty cards are read with card readers, and discounts, bonuses and loyalty programmes are managed in the system.
  • Seasonal campaigns are planned, run and reported, free autumn check-ups or oil promotions for example.
  • Reports (BI) are current and use the parameters you set, for decisions based on real data.

Advantages of BORA BS in the automotive business

  • Handover protocols, approvals and job cards are created automatically and can follow your ISO quality system.
  • The system runs centrally on a server, so a new service centre, shop or remote workstation starts working quickly.
  • The service adviser sees the car’s history at once and can suggest timely repairs or consumables. The average order value goes up.

Ways to implement

BORA Solutions builds solutions for the automotive business on two models:

  1. Buying licences (On-Premise): implementation on the client’s servers, with full control over the hardware.
  2. Renting (SaaS / Cloud): a cloud model with a smaller initial investment, good data protection and access from anywhere with internet.

Implementation experience

BORA Solutions has long experience with information systems for car repair shops and vehicle dealers in Bulgaria. Our implemented solutions help dealers and car service complexes work electronically, cars spend less time on the ramp, and customers trust the business more.

Frequently asked questions about BORA Automotive

Can the BORA BS system be integrated with external spare parts catalogues (such as TecDoc)?

Yes. BORA Business Suite connects through API interfaces to external spare parts databases and catalogues. Service advisers and sales staff search for parts by VIN (chassis number), make, model or variant and import the right OE codes and their equivalents straight into the service order.

How does the software help track the efficiency of individual mechanics in the workshop?

Every service operation, “replace front brake discs” for example, has standard labour hours. When the operation is assigned to a mechanic or a team, the software records the real time. From this data management gets reports on the productivity, workload and piecework pay of every employee in the workshop.

How is the replacement of parts and their issue from the warehouse to a specific car managed?

Automatically and with protection against misuse. The parts the mechanic requests are entered on the service order. The warehouse employee issues them with a barcode terminal, stock goes down and the cost goes to the car’s file. A part without an open order cannot leave the warehouse without permission in the system.
