Analytics and Reports
Good decisions rest on real, current data. The BORA Business Suite ERP system has analysis and reporting tools that cover every module in the company.

Management sees finances, assets and people on three levels: from interactive operational lists to data warehouses (Data Warehouses) and OLAP cubes.
The three levels of reporting in BORA Business Suite
1. Active reports (operational analysis and working with data)
Tables for everyday work with information:
- the data is in rows and columns that are easy to filter, group and sort;
- depending on their permissions, users not only read but also edit, add or delete data according to the application’s rules;
- operational reports are made quickly, without help from the IT department.
2. Analytical reports (OLAP analysis)
For middle management, when the business has to be seen from several angles:
- the data in the information cubes is “rotated” into different views and shows hidden relationships and trends;
- large volumes are summarised (aggregated) instantly, so even complex reports come out quickly.
3. Third-generation business analytics (BORA Business Intelligence)
For senior management:
- the BI architecture is connected to all BORA ERP modules and to external databases, with shared dimensions and processes;
- historical data in protected warehouses (Data Warehouses) is combined with operational online analysis;
- the company defines its own dimensions, for example business lines, business activities and cost centres.
How the BI processes work in BORA BS
BORA Business Intelligence processes data in four automatic steps: loading (ETL), allocation, consolidation and calculation (KPI).
This is what happens at each step:
- Loading (ETL): information is pulled from the operational ERP modules and put in order.
- Allocation: income and expenses are allocated across the dimensions and business lines.
- Consolidation: financial and operational results are summarised by department, branch or for the holding.
- Calculation: the company’s KPIs and the management reports are calculated to fit the way it is run.
Frequently asked questions about analytics and BI
What is the difference between an Active report and an Analytical business report?
An Active report is a flat table with rows and columns for everyday work, for example a list of the month’s invoices that you can edit. An Analytical report (OLAP cube) is multi-dimensional and is for decisions. On one screen you see sales by product group, by region and by month, compared by sales representative.
Can BORA BI consolidate data from several companies in the holding?
Yes. The Consolidation step automatically removes intra-group turnover and overlaps and combines the data of the separate legal entities into one report for the holding.
How do the Costs and Business lines dimensions help control cost?
In the BI module you set how indirect costs (rent, logistics, administration) are allocated across business lines or activities. The Allocation and Calculation steps show how much each project or workshop earns.
Do users need to write code to create new analyses?
No. Business analysts and finance managers set up new views, change the weighting of dimensions and build reports themselves in the graphical interface of BORA BI.
