Salaries

The Salaries module is the calculation core of BORA HR. It collects the data from Personnel, the hours from Form 19 and the results of individual performance-based pay (IRZ). Monthly payrolls are processed quickly and accurately, following the tax and social security rules.

Salaries

Routine payroll operations run in batch mode. Payments to employees, banks and institutions (the NRA, the NSSI) are prepared automatically.

How the module works

Pay slip (earnings and deductions)

Every employee gets a pay slip automatically, from the day they join:

  • in the new month the slips are carried over in one go: permanent elements stay, and temporary ones drop off by themselves;
  • social security contributions (state social insurance, health insurance, supplementary compulsory pension insurance) and income tax are calculated automatically according to the type of employment relationship;
  • voluntary deductions (insurance, trade union dues, leasing, garnishments) are kept on personal accounts with a limit by time or by amount paid;
  • the slip is valued according to the pay system: time-based (fixed or tariff pay) or standard-based (individual performance-based pay, team piecework).

Batch and manual entry

  • Variable earnings, bonuses, premiums and IRZ are entered in bulk from ready internal or external lists.
  • The earnings of a single employee are corrected or added quickly, right on screen.

Reports to institutions and summaries

When the month is closed in BORA Salaries, the files for the institutions and the reports for management come out automatically:

  • Declarations No. 1 and No. 6, calculated from the pay slips and ready for submission to the NRA;
  • the notifications under Article 62 of the Labour Code for employment contracts, supplementary agreements and terminations, taken from the register of personnel documents for registration with the NRA;
  • the files for the NSSI on sick leave and state social insurance cash benefits, together with the covering letter and the list of documents required by the regulation;
  • bulk payments to banks and pension funds in the approved bank formats;
  • detailed payment payrolls and summaries by site, by general and individual account and by staff category.

Link with accounting (BORA Accounting)

The module is connected to the financial system of BORA Business Suite, and salaries are not posted by hand:

  • salaries are posted in batch mode according to rules that you set;
  • earnings, deductions and employer contributions are allocated by cost centre, employee, site category, pay element or staff category;
  • the journal entries can be exported to external accounting systems using set templates.

Frequently asked questions about payroll and salaries

How do you make sure last month’s temporary bonuses are not paid again?

When you add a variable earning, a project bonus for example, the system marks it as a “temporary element”. When the month is closed and the next one opened, BORA HR removes all temporary earnings from the new slips.

Can the system stop a garnishment deduction automatically once the amount is paid?

Yes. When you enter the deduction (garnishment, loan) on the employee’s personal account, you set a final amount. Each month the set part is deducted and the balance grows. Once the amount deducted reaches the final amount, the deduction stops by itself.

How do corrections from supplementary agreements in the middle of the month show up in Declaration No. 1?

The supplementary agreement is activated in Personnel with a mid-month date, for a new salary or position for example. Form 19 records the movement, and Salaries calculates the pay in proportion to the days. In Declaration No. 1 the record is split into two or more lines with the correct codes for the insured days.

What does it mean that the journal entries are “portable”?

That they can be moved to another system. If you use BORA HR for personnel and payroll while the holding’s accounting runs on other software, nothing is keyed in by hand. BORA BS prepares the debit and credit entries, with the analytics by cost centre, in XML or Excel, and they are imported into the external software.
