Service
BORA BS Service Management is the system for service operations. You use it to manage after-sales service, warranty and scheduled repairs, technical support and car repair shops, and the service business becomes more profitable.

The whole path is automated. The request is registered in the Call Center or Helpdesk, then the spare parts and labour are planned. At the end the repair is costed, an invoice is issued and the mechanics’ piecework pay is calculated.
How BORA BS Service is built
Register of serviced objects
Every product, piece of equipment or machine has an electronic file:
- the record holds everything in one place: the customer and the supplier, the technical and operating data, the delivery and commissioning dates;
- the built-in modules and components, the maintenance terms and the history of the warranty cards are tracked.
The repair process step by step
A service order goes through clear stages:
- the request is registered and classified quickly and assigned to a specific team or technician;
- the parts and operations needed are defined, and the system checks the stock of parts and consumables in the warehouse;
- handover protocols and warehouse documents are created automatically, and the invoice for parts and labour comes out straight away at the agreed prices.
Call Center and Helpdesk
Customer requests are received and tracked in one place:
- separate reports for incidents (Incidents), product calls (PSS Calls) and information requests (InfoLine Calls);
- orders are tracked against their deadlines so that service level agreements (SLA) are met.
Module for car repair shops: BORA AUTO SERVICE
The module has a separate mode made for the car repair sector:
- the vehicle register is arranged by make, model and variant, with the repair operations and the standard times for each;
- the parts catalogue keeps track of which car parts are interchangeable (alternative codes and manufacturer codes);
- stock and prices are exported and synchronised with international catalogues of original parts (ETKA and others);
- there are rates for paint and bodywork, and for complex repairs the exact cost and the margin are calculated.
Labour and piecework in the workshop
In BORA BS Service pay is not worked out by hand. Labour is recorded against standards:
- the system tracks the labour actually put in by each mechanic or team on each order;
- as soon as the service order is closed, the piecework pay is calculated automatically from the hours and the rates for the operations;
- management has analyses of labour by car make, of parts used by invoice and payer, and of each person’s efficiency.
Frequently asked questions about service management
How does BORA Service Management help control warranty repairs?
The product record keeps the warranty history and the warranty period. For a new service order the system recognises by itself whether the product is under warranty. If it is, the customer is not charged, and the parts and labour build up as an internal cost borne by the service centre or the manufacturer.
Can the car service module work with alternative part numbers?
Yes. If the original part is not in stock, the software immediately shows the available substitutes from other manufacturers with their current prices.
How is the piecework pay of mechanics calculated when they work as a team?
BORA SM accepts individual and team reports. If a diagnostician and a mechanic worked on one car, the operation is split between them by percentage or by hours. Each gets their share of the pay automatically.
What is the ETKA integration?
ETKA is the electronic catalogue of original spare parts for the Volkswagen group brands. Through the integration, the car repair shop exchanges stock and price lists quickly, without copying complex catalogue numbers by hand.
