Payrolls

The Payrolls sub-module in BORA HR completes the monthly processing of salaries. It summarises the results of the calculations and sends them automatically to employees, accounting and the institutions (the NRA, the NSSI). The risks at month end go down.

Payrolls

From the processed pay slips the system produces payment payrolls, bank files and summaries for management. Nothing is retyped by hand, so there are fewer reporting errors too.

What the module does

Summaries and lists

Staff costs are looked at from different angles:

  • summaries and lists by site, branch, staff category and by general or individual account;
  • payslips are printed and sent out electronically, and there is a detailed personal report for every employee.

Electronic exchange with the NRA, the NSSI and banks

Files are created in the official formats of the institutions and banks:

  • Declarations No. 1 and No. 6, calculated directly from the monthly pay slips;
  • notifications under Article 62 of the Labour Code: the data on new contracts, supplementary agreements and terminations is taken from the register of personnel documents, and the files for the NRA are ready;
  • sick leave certificates to the NSSI: the electronic file for state social insurance cash benefits is created directly, and the covering letter and the list of documents under Articles 3 to 5 and Article 14 of the regulation are printed automatically;
  • files for bulk payments to banks (salaries to cards) and to pension funds.

Posting and analytics

Payroll operations are not posted by hand, because the module is connected to the accounting of the ERP platform:

  • journal entries for all types of contracts and employment relationships are drawn up in batch mode according to rules that you set;
  • the net amounts payable, the deductions, the taxes and the employer contributions (state social insurance, health insurance, supplementary compulsory pension insurance) are posted;
  • entries can be allocated automatically by:
  • cost centre and/or employee;
  • site category;
  • pay element;
  • staff category;
  • the entries do not depend on the software and are exported using set templates to external finance and accounting systems.

Frequently asked questions about payrolls

How does BORA HR keep Declarations No. 1 and No. 6 correct in special cases?

The declarations are generated straight from the calculated pay slips. The software compares the employee and employer contributions with the tax base under the Personal Income Tax Act, watches the limits, such as the maximum insurable income, and fills in the insured person type codes as the NRA requires.

Can the accounting for salaries be split across different projects or departments?

Yes. From Form 19 the system knows where the employee worked during the month. If it was half the month in “Workshop 1” and half at “Site 2”, the salary and contributions are allocated and posted proportionally to the two cost centres.

How are the sick leave files for the NSSI generated if the holding has several companies?

BORA HR works with several companies at the same time (multi-company). At closing, the summaries, the NRA files, the bank files and the NSSI sick leave files are produced separately for each legal entity, with the correct UIC/BULSTAT in the covering letters and lists.

What happens if the bank changes its format for bulk salary payments?

Bank files are produced from templates that can be configured. If the bank changes its format, only the export template is updated, and the payroll logic stays the same. The file is once again in the format the bank accepts.
