Retail

BORA Retail System is a POS (Point of Sale) system for sales in shops and retail chains. You use it to run physical stores, supermarkets and networks of warehouses in different places.

Retail

The till works fast and reliably. Commercial policies and loyalty programmes are set centrally, and stock is tracked automatically at every moment.

What the BORA Retail POS system can do

Serving customers at the till (Point of Sale)

  • The whole sale runs from one screen, so the cashier finishes quickly.
  • Staff work with a mouse and keyboard (mouse click) or in touch screen mode on fixed and mobile POS terminals.
  • Goods are recognised with a barcode scanner, including weight barcodes. Customer loyalty cards are read with a card reader.
  • With one confirmation the system issues an invoice or a fiscal receipt, takes the goods out of stock and creates a cash receipt voucher.

Store management and daily reports

The store manager sees the money and the goods at any moment:

  • a daily report with sales by product category, deliveries, stock and sales by product attributes;
  • a detailed cash book for every workstation, kept automatically;
  • summary and quantity turnover sheets for the store, reports on inventory and returnable packaging;
  • centrally set campaigns, discounts based on the customer profile and card payments (CRT).

Field sales with BORA Sales Mobile

BORA Sales Mobile is for travelling sales reps, distributors and agents (Van Sales). The app is built as a service-oriented application. From a tablet or a smartphone the sales rep reaches everything needed in the BORA BS ERP platform.

  • The interface is made for a tablet touch screen. There is little navigation and documents are drawn up quickly, even on the move.
  • It works over mobile internet, uses little data, and the connection to the central database is encrypted.
  • Goods are shown in a list or in a product matrix, where they are filtered by variant, size or colour.
  • The customer’s last sale can be copied. For regular deliveries the sales rep only changes the quantities.
  • Stock, price lists and the customer’s payments (credit history) are shown up to date.

Frequently asked questions about stores and POS systems

Which kinds of stores is BORA Retail System suitable for?

Supermarkets, specialist shops, boutiques and large retail chains with many customers. It works with barcode readers, fiscal devices and customer discount cards.

Can the software manage discounts and promotional campaigns centrally?

Yes. Policies and campaigns are set in the central system and reach every store in the network automatically. The cashier enters nothing by hand, so there is no room for error.

How does BORA Sales Mobile help distribution companies?

The travelling sales rep does not depend on the office. At the customer’s site the rep checks stock, sees the individual price terms, enters new orders and checks late payments.

Does the POS terminal accept bank cards and vouchers?

Yes. BORA Retail System accepts payment by card (CRT), in cash or combined. The payment is linked automatically to the fiscal cash register and the card terminal.
