Materials
BORA Material Management (BORA MM) is an ERP and WMS system for warehouses. It manages stock keeping, the layout of the warehouse in zones and bins, stocktaking and the dispatch of goods.

The software follows a material along its whole path. A customer order leads to production or to a purchase order, and in the end the goods leave the warehouse. The quantities needed stay reserved precisely the whole time.
What the BORA MM warehouse software can do
Stock and cost (Inventory Management)
BORA MM supports all the established methods for valuing and moving stock. The cost stays accurate even when a document is reversed.
- Issue at weighted average price, FIFO (first in, first out), LIFO (last in, first out) or by batch.
- Separate records and attributes for batches and for serial-numbered items.
- The batch status is inherited and tracked: blocked goods, expiring or expired shelf life.
- Sales invoices are created from one or several goods issue documents, and supplier invoices are booked against the goods receipt documents.
Warehouse layout (WMS) and internal logistics
The physical space of the warehouse is described in detail in the system so that goods are handled quickly:
- the warehouse is divided into zones, bins and locations, each with its own properties (location-based storage);
- products are assigned to bins automatically, according to rules and product attributes that you define;
- every move from bin to bin and every preparation for dispatch is tracked.
Stocktaking and barcodes
Stocktaking is usually a heavy job. With BORA MM it is shorter and needs almost no manual work:
- once the count starts, warehouse operations stop until it ends, so there are no errors;
- the documents for shortages and surpluses, the stock lists and the revaluation records for a warehouse or a batch are created directly;
- barcode labels are entered and printed with full product and batch identification, following the international GS1 standard.
Mobile warehouse management with BORA Store
Warehouse staff work faster with the BORA Store mobile app. It is connected to the BORA BS ERP platform and the data is exchanged instantly.
- It works with professional barcode scanners and Zebra mobile terminals through the DataWedge API.
- Several people can count in the same warehouse at the same time.
- It connects over the local network (Wi-Fi) or Bluetooth. At remote sites it also works without a connection (offline), and the data is synchronised later through text files (delimited text).
- It is installed from the Google Play Store.
Frequently asked questions about warehouse management
Which stock issue methods does BORA MM support?
Each warehouse can be set to weighted average price, batch tracking, FIFO or LIFO. The cost is updated automatically on receipt, issue and reversal.
What is location-based storage (warehouse layout) in the software?
The warehouse is divided into zones and bins in the system. Based on the product attributes, the system suggests where to put goods and where to pick them from, so staff walk less around the warehouse.
How does BORA Store help with stocktaking in large warehouses?
With BORA Store several employees scan barcodes (including GS1 barcodes) at the same time on Zebra mobile terminals. The data goes straight into the ERP system or is collected offline with Data Collector and imported later. The system uses it to produce the shortage and surplus lists.
Can the software generate documents from company templates?
Yes. BORA MM fills in MS Word templates that you have prepared in advance. This is how handover protocols, quality certificates and other documents with the goods and batch data are produced.
