BORA Business Suite: system requirements

 

BORA Business Suite (BORA BS) is an application that runs on Microsoft Windows operating systems and uses Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Software requirements for 15 users ( Software requirements )

To use BORA Business Suite for 15 users you need the following software:

  • 1 x MS Windows Server 2022 Standard (16 core), Windows server licence (SQL Server 2022 is supported on Windows Server 2016 and later);
  • 15 x MS Windows Server 2022 CAL (User CAL) (or Device CAL), user access licence to Windows Server;
  • 1 x MS SQL Server 2022 Standard, SQL server licence (with Server + CAL licensing)*;
  • 15 x MS SQL Server 2022 CAL (User CAL) (or Device CAL), user (or device) access licence to SQL Server (with Server + CAL licensing)*;

Hardware requirements ( Hardware requirements )

Hardware (physical or virtual):

  • A server compatible with Windows Server 2022;
  • 64-bit (x64) processor with 4 or more cores, 2 GHz or faster;
  • RAM 16 GB with ECC (Error Correcting Code) support when installed on a physical server;
  • Disk space at least about 120 GB or more (for a database of up to about 10 GB);
  • 2 hard disks: fast hard disks in a RAID 1 or RAID 10 configuration are recommended and, if supported, a battery for the RAID controller cache. If SSDs are used, avoid models designed mainly for intensive reading, because they may wear faster when written to;
  • Network adapter with a speed of 1 Gbps or more.
