BORA.Fiscal: system requirements

BORA.Fiscal is a solution for communicating with fiscal devices, part of BORA Business Suite (BORA BS).

Components:

The BORA.Fiscal solution for communicating with fiscal devices consists of the following components:

  • Fiscal device (Fiscal Device): a device that meets the definition in Article 2(1) of ORDINANCE No. N-18 OF 13 DECEMBER 2006 ON REGISTERING AND REPORTING SALES IN RETAIL OUTLETS THROUGH FISCAL DEVICES, THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SOFTWARE THAT MANAGES THEM AND THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PERSONS SELLING THROUGH AN ONLINE SHOP (TITLE AMENDED, STATE GAZETTE No. 80 OF 2018).
  • Fiscal Application Client: a software library (DLL) that is part of the BORA BS business application (BORA BS Client). The library (DLL) communicates directly with the Fiscal Server, through which it sends messages for managing a fiscal device to the Fiscal Device Client software, which in turn manages the fiscal devices connected to it.
  • Fiscal Device Client: software (service) installed on a computer with one or more fiscal devices connected (directly) to it, which manages these fiscal devices directly. At the same time the Fiscal Device Client keeps a direct connection to the Fiscal Server software, through which it receives messages for managing a fiscal device sent by the Fiscal Application Client software.
  • Fiscal Server: software (service) installed on a computer, which accepts and maintains connections started (initiated) by different Fiscal Device Clients and/or Fiscal Application Clients. Through these connections the Fiscal Server communicates with the clients connected to it and relays messages for managing a fiscal device between Fiscal Application Clients and Fiscal Device Clients, which in turn manage the fiscal devices connected to them.

System requirements:

Fiscal Application Client:

  • The system requirements for the BORA Business Suite client application;
  • MS Windows operating system (at least Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 SP2 or later);
  • MS .NET Framework 3.5 SP1;
  • MS .NET Framework 4.5 (or a later 4.x version);
  • TCP/IP network connection to the relevant one or more Fiscal Servers (a static IP address or NAT port forward is NOT required).

Fiscal Device Client:

  • MS Windows operating system (at least Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 SP2 or later);
  • MS .NET Framework 4.5 (or a later 4.x version);
  • TCP/IP network connection to the relevant one or more Fiscal Servers (a static IP address or NAT port forward is NOT required);
  • One or more fiscal devices connected directly (to a USB port, if COM port emulation over USB is used, or to a COM port).

Fiscal Server:

  • MS Windows operating system (at least Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 SP2 or later);
  • MS .NET Framework 4.5 (or a later 4.x version);
  • One or more fiscal devices connected directly (to a COM port or through USB COM port emulation);
  • TCP/IP network connection to the Fiscal Application Clients and the Fiscal Device Clients;
  • A static IP address is required and, if it will be accessed through NAT (Network Address Translation), NAT port forward must be set up.

Fiscal device (Fiscal Device):

    The fiscal devices listed below are supported, as well as other models from the same manufacturers that use the same communication protocols.
