BORA Business Suite version 8.1 has been developed to comply with the requirements of REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR).
Because of the structural changes to the database needed to meet the requirements, the version of BORA Business Suite has now changed to 8. You can read the details of how we reflected the requirements of the Regulation in:

A user status has been introduced. Closing a user removes all rights and frees the licences.

Objects

New objects are entered from the line: Office Organisation\Master Data\Objects (02200)

When creating a new one:

1. A filter opens, where you tick All object categories. By default no category is selected, and applying the filter loads no data in the list. You can filter for a specific object under which you want to create a new one.

2. In the empty row, which depending on the sort order may be at the bottom or the top of the list, enter the data of the new object.

A new price list type has been added, “With validity period”. In this type of price list, a validity period can be set for the price of a specific product or service.

Price lists are created from Office Organisation\Master Data\Price Lists (02260)

What's new in Build 7.1.096 to 8.1.001, image 8

To enter prices for specific products, choose the “File” button, then “Active reports” and “Personal price lists for customers”:

From the list that loads, choose the newly created price list, and you can enter the products and services it will contain and the dates for which their prices will be valid.

The new type of price list can work together with the existing price lists. For this purpose an additional price list field has been added to the counterparty’s business profile. When a customer has two price lists attached, a sale checks:

1. Whether the product or service being sold is in the new price list with a validity period. If it is, and the invoice date falls within the period set in the price list, the price entered there is used.

2. If the product or service is not in the price list with a validity period, or the invoice date does not fall within the set period, the price is taken from the price list without a validity period attached to the counterparty.

The discount field in the counterparty’s business profile applies only to the standard price list, without a validity period. The new price lists with a validity period show final prices, and the discount percentage does not apply to them!
